Land Trust Gathering Celebrates Conservation Efforts

Door County Land Trust will host its annual gathering for its members and the public Aug. 21, 3-6:30 pm, at the conservation-easement property of Sandy and Ed Miller, 2401 E. Meadow in Baileys Harbor.

The event will include an introduction of the Land Trust’s new executive director, Emily Wood, who most recently served as executive director of the Indiana Wildlife Federation, as well as refreshments by Alexander’s, live music by Cathy Grier & The Troublemakers, and an art raffle with works by Door County artists.

The Land Trust will also lead free hikes Aug. 20 at its Kangaroo Lake Nature Preserve, Three Springs Nature Preserve and the Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal.

Raffle proceeds and ticket sales help to fund land-preservation efforts. Tickets are $45 for adults and $20 for children younger than 12. Find out more and register at doorcountylandtrust.org.
