“This Land is Your Land” Highlights Door County Land Trust

Painting by Sally Berner.

The Miller Art Museum is curating a special exhibition to honor, celebrate, and promote the efforts of the Door County Land Trust (DCLT) titled “This Land is Your Land.” Many of the 52 artists included in the exhibit will attend the opening reception on Nov. 10, 3 – 4:30 pm. The museum invites nature and art lovers of all ages to relish artwork inspired by the beauty of the DCLT Nature Preserves.

The museum invited this group of artists to participate in the theme exhibit to create paintings and drawings inspired by one of the many DCLT nature preserves. Each artist (most from Door County) chose their preferred location and season to create their piece.

Some of the artists in the exhibition are Lori Beringer, Sally Berner, Craig Blietz, Marcia Boyd, Donna Brown, Bonnita Budysz, Jan Comstock, Karen Cook, Karen Lee DeNoto, Judi Ekholm, Malin Ekman, Glenn Gerber, Connie Glowacki, Paula Swaydan Grebel, James Ingwersen, Emmett Johns, Gretchen Klug, Brigitte Kozma, Jim Leatham and Margaret Lockwood.

“This Land is Your Land” will be displayed through Dec. 22.

Also, the annual Holiday Gift Shop opens at the Miller on Nov. 10. Shoppers are invited to browse unique items for holiday gift giving.

The Miller Art Museum is located at 107 S 4th Avenue in Sturgeon Bay. The museum is open Monday 10 am – 8 pm and Tuesday through Saturday 10 am – 5 pm; and closed on Sunday and holidays. Admission is free; the galleries are fully accessible.
