Letter to the Editor: Big High Five to Police Department

I would like to offer our Sturgeon Bay/Door County Police Department a big high five. Very recently they successfully perpetrated another major drug bust here on the Door. Something like 20 or 30 people were rounded up. Not so many years ago 11 illegals from Mexico were lassoed up and sent packing…long before Trump entered the ring. When we were threatened with the atrocities of child pornography…not once, but twice within the last few years…our PD was right on it and smashed those involved. The fact that so many are boxed up, so to speak, all at one time when our police force moves in, tells me that they’re doing their homework and patiently waiting for just the right moment to strike.

A hearty “thank you” from this citizen goes out to all of these hard-working ladies and gentleman who do their very best to keep our beautiful home – the Door Peninsula – as clear of ugly vice as they possibly can. May the Force be with you.
