Letter to the Editor: Make America Weak & Sick

Trump’s policy on global climate change is that it is a hoax. Tell that to all the people who have suffered from terrible flooding and more severe storms in many parts of the country, a sign of climate change and warming global temperatures.

Just like our Wisconsin governor, who does not believe in science, Trump wants to go back to the “good old days” when coal was king. Last year the coal industry gave 97 percent of its political donations to Republicans. Trump denies climate change and wants to continue polluting our air with fossil fuels and at the same time is pushing the GOP health care bill which would take away medical coverage for so many of the poor people who are harmed by bad air and water.

Our country is under total control by the Republicans and Trump is happy to help the wealthiest one percent of these people by giving them a huge tax break and gutting Medicaid and other assistance to those who need it the most. He will not show anybody his tax returns so who knows how much he will gain if those big tax cuts are passed with the new Trumpcare bill.
