Linger Presents Rick Brawner’s Plein Air Paintings

“Main Street Morning” placed second in the 2012 Door County Plein Air Festival’s Dockside Quick Paint competition.

Linger is Fish Creek’s newest coffee house with original plein air oil paintings of Door County scenery by local artist, Rick Brawner.

Brawner often captures life and landscape of Door County in realistic and impressionistic styles.

Using quick, freely applied brushstrokes while maintaining a fidelity to the shape and form of Door County landscape and architecture, Brawner captures a world we immediately recognize but do not often see and creates a special connection between the viewer and a unique moment in place and time.

Brawner is a lifelong student of oil painting and a graduate of Layton School of Art in Milwaukee. His most recent recognitions include acceptance into the 49th Juried Exhibition at the Hardy Gallery in Ephraim. Brawner’s painting “Main Street Morning” also placed second in the 2012 Door County Plein Air Festival’s Dockside Quick Paint. This painting will be displayed and available to purchase at Linger.
