Luma Knotty out of Green Bay is “reggae space funk”: a sound created through the varied backgrounds of its musicians, who have spent time playing at the Mexico/Texas border, in the Minneapolis funk scene and around northeastern Wisconsin. Described as a “unique blend of funk, rock and reggae, with the vibes of the sunny West Coast, energy of the funky Midwest and electric feel that’s out of this world.” You’ll find Rasta Ryan on guitar and vocals, Hayden Pettit on drums and Luis J on keys. Luma Knotty will deliver positive vibes and energetic styling to the newly opened Door 44 space to kick off its weekly summer-concert series.

The Sweet Lillies’ high-energy, melodic tunes have quickly captured the hearts of fans in Colorado and beyond since forming in late 2013. The group credits its appeal to the original and compelling songwriting of three women who share an unwavering commitment to life on the road. The magnetic combination of Julie Gussaroff on the upright bass, Becca Bisque on the viola, Melly Frances on percussion and lead vocals, and Dustin Rohleder on acoustic guitar gives this band a rare and alluring sound. Based out of Colorado’s Front Range, the Sweet Lillies are continually expanding their audience with a contagious passion for music and a get-up-and-dance attitude that spreads love and smiles.
