On Sept. 11 at noon in the Ephraim Village Hall, the Ephraim Library will present “Songs and Stories of the 1940s,” a performance by Lloyd Michalsen of the Cowboy Church of Door County. The concert is open to the public at no cost, with all free-will donations to benefit the Village of Ephraim Library. Every veteran in attendance will receive a free CD, compliments of Michalsen.
Michalsen is also a part of One Voice, a trio featuring Lynn Gudmundsen on violin and David Hatch on guitar, playing acoustic classic rock with a bit bluegrass, a bit country, and a bit folk for benefits around Door County and beyond.
The concert is in collaboration with the Ephraim Hill Climb that weekend. All pre-war and post-war vintage vehicles participating in the climb will be displayed along the shore right outside the Village Hall for viewing before and after the concert.
There is a freewill donation, with proceeds to benefit the Ephraim Library.
