Many Opportunities to See Door County Watercolorist

Kari Anderson is taking part in a number of special events this fall.

On Sept. 27 – 28, Anderson will teach “Capturing Autumn Colors in Watercolor,” at the Peninsula School of Art in Fish Creek. This class is intended to provide participants the confidence to apply watercolor techniques like glazing, collage, and layering colors.

To sign up for this workshop call the Peninsula School of Art at 920.868.3455.

Anderson will also be at Pumpkin Patch on Oct. 6 and 7 in Egg Harbor. She will be located at the Decorator’s Gallery, and will sell knitted head bands, pin cushions, felted wool Norwegian troll dolls, fused glass, note cards, prints and original watercolor paintings.

A special workshop will be held Nov. 7 on plein air painting of tamaracks in full color at Anderson’s home studio. This is an annual workshop, and space is limited to six students.

Everyone attending should bring something to throw into a pot of chili. The cost is $35.

Anderson is also taking on matting and framing projects until Christmas. She has a number of metal frames, mostly 16 x 20, for a reasonable price.
