Mardi Gras Potluck Dinner

Christ the King and Holy Nativity Episcopal Churches will hold a Mardi Gras-themed potluck dinner on Feb. 17, 5 to 7 pm at the Holy Nativity Parish Hall, 3434 County V, just up the hill from Jacksonport. Mardi Gras or “fat Tuesday” in the Christian tradition has been the last day to pig out before the six-week season of Lent begins on Ash Wednesday. The start of Lent will be observed with Eucharist and the imposition of ashes at 5:30 PM on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 18, at the Church of Christ the King, 5th Ave. and Michigan St. in Sturgeon Bay.
