Mark Murphy to Return for 4th Annual Celebrity Golf Outing

The Boys and Girls Club of Door County will hold its 4th Annual Celebrity Golf Outing at Horseshoe Bay Golf Club on June 11.

The honorary chairs of this event are Bob and Madelyn Harlan. “The Club is extremely appreciative of their support. Bob has served as a great ambassador for the Club. I have often overheard him telling all of the golfers who are thrilled to shake his hand about the great work the organization is doing on behalf of kids,” said Heather Powell, Executive Director of the Club.

Registration and lunch begins at 11 am, followed by a shotgun start at noon. The event ends with dinner and a live auction with WBAY news anchor Bill Jartz.

“The celebrities who have attended in the past have enjoyed the event a great deal and are happy to be returning. They enjoy talking with the golfers, sharing stories and supporting a great organization. We are thrilled that Jerry Kramer and Harry Sydney along with several others are going to play once again,” said event co-chair Dave Resch.

Among the celebrities returning is Mark Murphy, President of the Green Bay Packers.

“The funds raised support programming that inspires our members to reach their full potential and ensures that their basic needs are met. We want the attendees to hear firsthand what they are supporting. It will also give the kids a chance to practice many of the life skills they learn at the Club,” said Powell.
