Master Gardeners’ Annual Plant Sale

The Door County Master Gardeners Association welcomes the public to its annual plant sale (dcmga.org/plant-sale) on May 18, 8 am – 12 pm, at the Peninsular Agricultural Research Station, 4312 N. Hwy 42 in Sturgeon Bay.

“Our community spoke, and we listened,” said plant sale chair Karen Kidd. “We’ve moved the 2019 plant sale to the weekend before Memorial Day this year, and we’re starting an hour earlier to give everyone more time to shop!”

Also new this year is First Pick: a presale event on May 17, 5-7 pm, that allows shoppers early access and the first pick of the plants. The first 100 attendees will receive a gardeners’ tips and samples gift bag, and every ticket holder will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win a garden-related gift. First Pick is $10 per ticket or $15 for two tickets.

Proceeds from the sale are put to work in Door County through free educational programs at Crossroads at Big Creek and maintaining the Garden Door. Customers may purchase items by credit card, check or cash.
