Merry-Time Festival of Trees 2019

Create a new holiday tradition by visiting the Door County Maritime Museum (DCMM, dcmm.org) in Sturgeon Bay during the eighth annual Merry-Time Festival of Trees, when decorated trees and wreaths donated by businesses and individuals grace the museum’s galleries. The festival will run daily, Nov. 8 – Dec. 10, 10 am – 5 pm. Visitors may also purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win one of the decorated trees.

The festival will begin with a new tug-lighting event this year: On Nov. 8, 4-6 pm, the DCMM invites the community to share cocoa, cookies and carols and to see the 100-year-old tugboat John Purves draped with lights.

Kids’ Day and Santa on the Tug John Purves will take place Dec. 7. Kids of all ages may participate in holiday activities and explore the museum starting at 9 am. Santa will arrive by U.S. Coast Guard boat at 10 am and finish his visits at 1 pm.

The festival will culminate with the annual Jingle Mixer Gala on Dec. 10, when hundreds of attendees will enjoy catered hors d’oeuvres, an open bar, live music, silent and live auctions, and the tree raffle. Gala tickets are limited and will be available to the public starting Nov. 1 at DoorCountyTickets.com.
