A concert titled “Inward Joys Arise: Songs of Love, Joy and Peace” will be held June 24, 7 pm, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.
The Collegium Ladyes spring concert features a mix of music, from medieval and Renaissance pieces to Shaker songs, as well as rounds, chants and hymns from Spain, Estonia and elsewhere. The Collegium Ladyes was founded in 2010 as part of the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee’s Collegium Musicum, an early music performance program. Many of the Ladyes are professional soloists, music teachers, or choral musicians; all are experienced choral singers. They share a love of a cappella vocal music and are especially fascinated by medieval and Renaissance repertoire.
The concert is free and open to the public. A freewill offering will help defray the ensemble’s expenses. St. Luke’s Episcopal Church is located at 2336 Canterbury Lane in Sister Bay.
