Mold Remediation Approved

Leaks at the rear, west wall of the town marina building led to a mold problem in need of remediation that goes far beyond the current use of dehumidifiers and air purifiers. Baileys Harbor town supervisors approved a $9,400 contract for Armstrong Cleaning of Sturgeon Bay to eliminate mold and perform duct cleaning. Supervisor Terry McArdle said the cleanup does not correct the bigger issue. Fellow Supervisor Sue Tishler confirmed that marina staff must wipe up moisture as it develops. The town will ask for testing more frequently.
