Holiday Arts And Craft Fair

Sister Bay will hold its Holiday Arts & Crafts Fair on Nov. 24 and Nov. 25 from 10 am – 4 pm at the Sister Bay Village Hall. The fair benefits 

Friends of Gibraltar Arts & Cultural Programs.

Holiday Open House At Ellison Bay Galleries 

Three Ellison Bay galleries will host a holiday open house Nov. 24 and Nov. 25, 10 am – 5 pm. Gills Rock Pottery will feature holiday pieces along with their functional and decorative pottery. Turtle Ridge Gallery offers handmade handbags, natural fiber clothing and art for the home. Clay Bay Pottery features vases, decorated mugs, bowls and platters. Refreshments and prizes will be available.

A Fine Line Holiday 

Fine Line Designs Gallery will host its annual holiday open house Nov. 25, 10-4 pm. Cider and cookies will be served all day and visitors will receive a gift with every purchase. Holiday specials will be featured throughout the weekend, along with the gallery’s usual selection of original paintings, jewelry, ceramics, sculpture and more.

Fine Line Designs Gallery is located at 10376 Hwy 42 in Ephraim. 

Holiday Book Sales At Sturgeon Bay Library

Friends of Door County Libraries kicks off its annual Holiday Book Sales with a “Members-Only Evening” on Nov. 30 from 5-6:30 pm at the Sturgeon Bay Library. Non-members can join at the door. Individual membership fee is $10. 

Subsequent sales are scheduled over multiple dates in December: Dec. 2, 9:30 am-1:30 pm; Dec. 6, 11 am-1 pm; Dec. 13, 11 am-1 pm. Every sale will offer a wide selection of gift-able books in like-new condition at budget-friendly prices. From best-seller to vintage, spanning a range of interests and genres, these books have been culled from donations throughout the year. 

Proceeds from the sales fund numerous programs and projects that benefit Door County libraries. All sales are held in the lower level Mel Madel Friends Room at the Sturgeon Bay Library, 107 S. 4th Ave. in Sturgeon Bay.

Advent Music Events

The Episcopal Churches of Christ the King and Holy Nativity presents an Advent Concert on Dec. 3 at 3 pm at Christ the King Church. The Advent Concert will feature seasonal holy music played on a beautifully restored pipe organ, along with the Griffon String Quartet and flutist.     

Christ the King and Holy Nativity, partnering with St. Luke’s Episcopal Church of Sister Bay, will celebrate the Festival of Advent Lessons and Carols at the historic Holy Nativity Episcopal Church in Jacksonport at 5 pm on Dec. 9. The first Lessons and Carols service was held at King’s College in Cambridge, England in 1880. It foretells the coming birth of Jesus through old testament readings, congregational hymns and anthems selected by organists Fia Hill and Sara Bong. A reception will be held immediately following the service. Holy Nativity Episcopal Church is located at 3434 County Road V in Jacksonport.
