City of Sturgeon Bay:  The Zoning Board of Appeals meets at noon on Oct. 26 in the City Council chambers to hold a public hearing on a request for a variance.

City crews have begun fall loose leaf collection and will continue through Nov. 21, weather permitting. Bagged leaves will not be collected. Brush and garden waste will not be collected as these materials can damage the equipment used for leaf collection. Brush and garden waste can be dropped off at any time at the compost site on Division Road (it is open daily from dawn to dusk and is free of charge to city residents). Do not rake leaves into the street because they can cause the storm sewers to clog.

Door County:  The Board of Supervisors meets at 9 am on Oct. 28. The Board of Adjustment meets at 6:30 pm on Oct. 28.

Town of Brussels:  The town board has called a special budget workshop meeting for 7 pm on Oct. 27.

Town of Jacksonport:  The town board meets at 7 pm on Oct. 28.

Town of Sevastopol:  The town board meets at 7 pm on Oct. 27.

Village of Egg Harbor:  The Plan Commission meets at noon on Oct. 28.

Village of Sister Bay:  The Plan Commission meets at 5:30 pm on Oct. 28. A meeting on highway signage has been called for 3 pm on Oct. 30.
