Municipal News: Dec. 18 – 23

City of Sturgeon Bay: As the weather permits, city crews will be trimming trees in order to maintain the desired clearance to all roadways, sidewalks and alleys. Property owners who prefer to trim their own trees may contact the Public Works Dept. at 746.2912. Trimming by the city will include brush removal. However, property owners will have to dispose of any brush they clear on their own by taking it to the city compost site on Division Road.

County of Door: The Door County Board of Supervisors meets at 10 am on Dec. 22.

Town of Egg Harbor: The town board meets at 7 pm on Dec. 21.

Town of Sevastopol: The town board meets at 7 pm on Dec. 21.

Village of Egg Harbor: The Plan Commission meets at noon on Dec. 22.

At its Dec. 14, the village board approved the recommendation from the Library Ad Hoc Committee to go forward with the Pavilion design for the proposed new library/community center. Village administrator Ryan Heise explained to the board that the group raising funds for the proposed building want the village to choose a design so they can begin the fundraising effort with a specific proposal.

Village of Sister Bay: The Plan Commission meets at 5:30 pm on Dec. 22.
