Nancy Akerly to Lead Classes at Eclectics

Summer classes will soon be held at Eclectics, a new gallery space in Baileys Harbor. Nancy Akerly sells her marbled boxes and journals at the Baileys Harbor shop, and will show class participants her techniques.

On June 13, learn to make a treasure box. On July 11, learn to make a non-adhesive book and how to sew long-stitch to make a journal. On Aug. 8, learn “Practical Origami.” Origami can be whimsical and amusing, as well as practical and useful. This class will concentrate on origami such as a frame with an easel, a table decoration, origami boxes, a child’s top, and other surprises.

The classes cost $45 each, with all tools and materials provided. Classes will be small and personal. All classes will be held from 10 am – 2 pm. To register, contact Akerly at [email protected].
