Naomi Rikkola Reaches 1,000 Career Points

Sevastopol’s Naomi Rikkola reached 1,000 career points Saturday in the Pioneers’ 80-31 home victory over Gibraltar.

The junior scored 21 of her game-high 36 points in the second half to reach that career-scoring milestone, which comes one season after her older sister, Bailey, a 2023 Sevastopol High School graduate, reached 1,000 points in December of 2022 when the Pioneers hosted Sturgeon Bay.

Naomi Rikkola was one of four Pioneer players to end up in double figures against the Vikings, who were outscored 42-11 in the second half. Kayla Ranly added 13 points, with Libby Ash and Katie Spude each scoring 11 points.

Andie Schar led Gibraltar with 14 points.

Sevastopol, which improved to 10-2 in the conference and 15-3 overall, plays its next game Tuesday at league-leading Kewaunee (11-1, 18-1).

The Vikings (4-9, 7-12) next host a league game Tuesday against Southern Door (5-7, 7-13).
