Nashville Comes to Kewaunee

Travis Cooper (left) and Daniel Anderson perform.

Nashville songwriters Travis Cooper and Daniel Anderson will perform on September 24 at 8 pm at The Cork in Kewaunee. The pair is touring in support of Cooper’s new album Drifters & Dreamers, which was released in August.

Cooper, a Wisconsin native, has been living and writing in Nashville for the past several years. Inspired by guitar players like Doc Watson and Tony Rice, along with song craftsmen like Chris Whitley, Guy Clark and Townes Van Zandt, Cooper’s aspirations are to “bring honesty back to music.”

For over a decade, Anderson has been a staple of the Madison music scene, while at the same time making regular appearances in Nashville. Renowned across the country for his skills as a producer, songwriter, and performer with acts such as No. 27, Harmony Grove, and Centerstage Variety Band, Anderson is currently recording his new album Weight and Sea, which is slated for release in the spring of 2012.

The show will have no cover charge. Copies of Drifters & Dreamers will be available for sale.
