Nativity Novena Dec. 17-25 at Champion Shrine

The National Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help will celebrate the birth of Jesus with the Nativity Novena Dec. 17-25. The nine days of prayer leading up to Christmas Day are prayers of celebration in anticipation of Christ’s birth.

“The days leading up to Christmas Day are usually very hectic for people, so we invite Christians to take a few minutes each day to follow along with the novena and reflect on the true meaning of Christmas,” said Father John Broussard, CPM, rector of Champion Shrine.

Novena participants may either follow along with the prayers at Champion Shrine or from home by signing up to receive them via email on the Shrine’s website, ShrineOfOurLadyOfGoodHelp.com.

The Shrine’s Christmas Masses will be held on Dec. 24, 11:30 pm, and Dec. 25 at 8:30 am and 11 am, with rosary at 10:30 am.
