New Artist at Cappaert Contemporary

“The Meaning of Forever” by Krista Reuter.

Cappaert Contemporary Gallery, Egg Harbor, features the work of Krista Reuter. Reuter is recognized nationally for her hand cut and hand torn layered paper creations. Her work is an exploration of light and shadow created from the space between the two-dimensional and the three-dimensional. She enjoys using abstract patterns and shapes found in nature as themes for these explorations.

Her process of cutting and tearing her way through layers of paper is similar to “peeling away” the layers of daily life and getting down to the most exciting part:  the unknown.
