Select Door County artists and artisans will sell their products, art and provisions at the first annual Door County Wildflower Candles & More Fall Art and Craft Fair on Oct. 17, 9 am – 2 pm; and Oct. 18, 9 am – 12 pm, at 11576 Beach Road in Sister Bay.
Some of the offerings will include Door County wildflower candles, hand-drawn county maps, handcrafted board games, body products, jewelry, hand-sewn embroidery, framed brooch art, paintings and more.
Many local artists and artisans have felt economic hardship as a result of COVID-19, and canceled farmers’ markets and closed businesses have extended the challenges to nonprofit and charity organizations. The Door County Makers and Crafters Network began in response.
“The vendors who will be at this event are not normally at other art and craft fairs,” said event organizer Jacklene Campbell of Door County Wildflower Candles & More. “All of us are looking to provide people who love Door County with one-of-a-kind products and experiences that remind them of this one-of-a-kind place.”
Each participating vendor has pledged 15 percent of their profits to a local nonprofit of their choice. Masks and social distancing will be required. To learn more, email [email protected] or call 920.421.0867.
