New Lighthouse Wine Released

Orchard Country Winery & Market will release the seventh edition of its Door County Lighthouse wine series on June 13. The new release features the Sturgeon Bay Canal Pierhead Lighthouse and local photographer Daniel Anderson. Housed in a blue lighthouse-shaped bottle, the limited edition wine is a semi-dry cherry Riesling and retails for $19.95.

Anderson will be available from 2 – 5 pm on June 13 to autograph the bottles.

“I am delighted to be a part of this project,” said Anderson. “The lighthouse is in need of restoration and I think that being on a wine label will help bring attention to it. It is one of our county’s unsung treasures, and time is taking a toll on it.”
