Obituary: Beatrice E. (Hugenroth) Charnetski

August 21, 1937 ~ January 10, 2022

Beatrice E. Charnetski, 84, of Sister Bay, died peacefully Monday January 10, 2022 at Door County Medical Center with family by her side.

Bea loved people and helping those in need. She and Ken even took into their home those folks who fell on hard times and helped them even though it may have been tough on their own life. Each year she looked forward to girl time spent with her daughters in Green Bay during deer hunting seasons. But all this paled in comparison to her love of Christmas time, and decorating every inch of their home, inside and out. Bea enjoyed bowling on different teams over the years and times that afforded at the Sister Bay Bowl. She loved nature and music as she spent time playing guitar in her homes back yard.

Survivors include her husband, Ken; daughter, Lisa Dorow of Green Bay; four granddaughters, Rhonda (Shawn) Moore, Sierra Dorow, Alexa Dorow, Kendra Dorow; and one great-grandson, Emerson; three brothers, James (Sharon) Hugenroth, Clement (Mary) Hugenroth, both of Green Bay and Robert Schultz Jr of Baileys Harbor. The joy her grandchildren, and the addition of her great-grandson, brought to her life was immeasurable. Bea always looked forward to their visits and video chats, they were her world.

Preceding her in death were her parents; stepfather, Robert Schultz Sr.; two daughters, Vicky Daubner, and Bonny Charnetski.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 14, 2022 at Stella Maris Parish-Sister Bay site with Fr. Thomas Farrell officiating. Burial will be at St. Rosalia’s Cemetery.

Friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m.

“Our family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks of gratitude to the entire staff at Door County Medical Center for the kind and compassionate care shown to Bea, and all of our family, during her stay there.”
