Obituary: Bergliot “Bergy” Lind

March 14, 1934 ~ November 16, 2021

Bergliot J. Lind, 87, of Sturgeon Bay, died on November 16, 2021, at Door County Medical Center.  She was born March 14, 1934 in Chicago to John and Bergliot (Hanson) Gregory.  On April 16, 1955, she married Sivert Lind in Chicago, he preceded her in death on April 19, 2013.

When her children were older, Bergy worked as a care giver for a nursing home in Park Ridge, IL. She and her husband loved to vacation in Wisconsin and eventually retired to Door County.  Bergy was a long time and active member of the Family Worship Center in Sturgeon Bay.  She was passionate about her faith and always enjoyed fellowship with other believers at church.

Survivors include her two sons, Carl (Debbie) Lind, Lake Zurich, IL; David Lind (Carla Stach), West Dundee, IL; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.  She was preceded by her parents, a son Eric, and her husband.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 20, 2021, at the Family Worship Center.  Friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the church until time of services.  Burial will be in the Clay Banks Cemetery.  Forbes Funeral Home is assisting the family.
