Obituary: Pamela J. (Lind) Langfield

Pamela J. (Lind) Langfield, 67, of Ellison Bay, died Thursday, October 12, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay.

She was born August 29, 1950 in Brady, Nebraska, the daughter of the late Carl and Florence (Atlee) Lind. Her family moved to Illinois for her father’s work. Pam graduated from Broadview Academy in La Fox, Illinois before pursuing an art education in college. She married Douglas R. Langfield on April 12, 1970 in Aurora, Illinois. Doug and Pam met at school and knew each other since the 8th grade.

Spending time with her family and friends was the most important thing in her life. Pam was an energetic, funny, always happy woman who was loved by everyone who knew her. She had written many poems. One poem titled “Always” that she had written for her mother April 1992 was turned to song by friend and classmate, Terry McCullough.

Those left to mourn her passing are her loving husband, Douglas; two dear children, Joshua (Heather) Langfield of San Diego, CA, Sarah Langfield of Florence, KS; brother, Dale (Janet) Lind of Apopka, FL; and brother-in-law, David (Carol) Langfield of Parrottsville, TN.

Memorial services will be held later in Aurora, Illinois, and Gothenburg, Nebraska.

In lieu of flowers, please remember Pamela in your own way in your hearts. We look forward to seeing all her family and friends at the upcoming memorial services.
