Obituary: Dale J. Nessinger

Jan. 22, 1951 – March 19, 2020

Dale Nessinger, 69, of Sturgeon Bay died suddenly at his home. He was born in Algoma to Chester “Joe” and Betty Lou (Jorgenson) Nessinger.

After graduating from high school, he attended the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Dale was employed by Algoma Hardwoods for many years. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing and his dog, Chewy. He also enjoyed going up to his cabin and just being outside.

He is survived by two sons, John (Joni) Nessinger of Forestville, and Jason (Jessica) Nessinger of Sturgeon Bay; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild; his mother, Betty Nessinger of Algoma; two brothers, Dan “Heimer” (Kathy) Nessinger of Algoma, and Robert (Judy) Nessinger of Minnesota; and the mother of John, Jason and Michael, Vonnie Nessinger of Kingsford, Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his father; son Michael; and sister, Laurel Nessinger.

Visitation and memorial services will be held later. Burial will be in Tanum Cemetery.
