Obituary: Jean Ellen Fenlon

Jean Ellen Fenlon, 72, of the Town of Egg Harbor, passed away Friday night, May 4, 2018 at the Door County Medical Center Skilled Nursing Facility with family at her side.

She was born July 12, 1945 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Lawrence Wilson Steele and Esther Myrtle (Stolpe) Steele. Jean graduated from Washington High School in 1963 and went on to study at Oakland Community College in Michigan. She was united in marriage to James Patrick Fenlon on April 4, 1964 at Mother of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Milwaukee. They were blessed with over 54 years of marriage.

Jean worked with her husband Jim in their business forms distributorship, Pamico in Waukesha, later Fiserv. They moved to Egg Harbor in 1997 where she was a Real Estate Agent for Coldwell Banker in Egg Harbor for many years.

She enjoyed wine, cooking, traveling, spending time with family and her dogs, Casanova, Finn and Jake.

Jean will be missed by her husband, Jim; son, Mike (Pam) Fenlon of Brookfield; two grandchildren, Aly (Taylor) Garcia and Sophie Fenlon; sister, Eileen Steele of Lafayette, IN; friends; and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Jean’s life will be honored with a memorial service held at Huehns Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 19, 2018.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at Huehns Funeral Home on Saturday, May 19, 2018 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.

A memorial service for friends and family in Brookfield will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be given in Jean’s name for the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins University.
