Obituary: Jerry Walter Reinhard

Jerry Walter Reinhard, 85, Fish Creek, died Tuesday, May 10th at his home.

Jerry was born Oct. 15 1930, the son of the late Walter Reinhard and Bertha (Stenzel) Reinhard.

He is survived by his wife Darlene (Anderson) Reinhard, daughter Renee (Reinhard) Iding, granddaughter Alex Jade Reinhard, grandson Andrew Randall Iding all of Fish Creek, a sister Laverne (Reinhard) Krause of Sturgeon Bay and many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jeff Reinhard and son, Randall Reinhard.

Jerry started growing flowers in his parent’s garden when he was very young and founded Jerry’s Flowers (in Fish Creek) shortly after expanding his own gardens. After serving 2 years in the United States Army he returned home to eventually expand his business and move it to its current location in Sister Bay in 1960. Jerry married Darlene on Feb. 4, 1961 and they continued to run the greenhouse and raise their family. They retired in 1993 and sold the business to retire back in Fish Creek close to the original business. After retiring, Jerry continued to enjoy his love for flowers and gardening until his death.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday May 16, 2016 at Zion United Methodist Church Fish Creek at 1:00 P.M. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at the Church on Monday.

Burial will be at the Church Cemetery with Military Honors.
