Obituary: Karl H. Johnson

Karl was born in Illinois to Henry Bruno and Agnes Amelia (Widen) Johnson. As a toddler, the family moved to Door County, WI and the family farm is where he spent his entire life. Karl married Donna L. McCosky on May 1st, 1954 and together, they raised 6 daughters. He held many jobs in addition to farming during his 87 years on this earth. An electrician, welder, bus driver and Town Treasurer were only a few of his ‘hats’. As the cows became fewer, trees were planted in fields no longer pastured, as Dad had a great love of nature. Karl will be remembered most for his ability to tell stories. Never a more caring soul and kinder heart, he was always lending help where needed but never asking for it to be returned.

Karl is survived by his 6 daughters, Suzi Hass of Sister Bay, Patty (Dan) Burniece of Maple Grove MN, Peggy (John) Mroczynski of Pulaski, , Cindy (Gene) Smith of Oconto Falls, Linnae Johnson of Pulaski and Mary Kittredge of Pulaski; 12 grandchildren and 3 Great-grandchildren – Peter (Michelle) and Annah Hass; Raina, Iris and Tait Burniece; Chloe Mroczynski; Brandon (Audra- Addison, Weston, Nolan), Logan and Danielle Smith; Masoudae Rezvani; Derek and Seth Kittredge and Sister-in-law, Leatrice (Toots) Klaubauf of Green Bay.

In- Laws: John and Verna McCosky and Ed Klaubauf.
