Obituary: Kathryn I. Schultz

June 6, 1942 – Jan. 25, 2024

Kathryn I. Schultz, 81, of Sturgeon Bay, died on Thursday evening, Jan. 25, 2024, in Appleton. 

She was born June 6, 1942 in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin the daughter of the late William and Ruth (Moegenburg) Schultz.  Kathy graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School in 1960.  She was employed with Green Bay Public Service for nine years, and the City of Sturgeon Bay for 29 years, retiring in 1999.  In retirement she worked at Sturgeon Bay Utilities.

Kathy’s greatest love was her family, her sons, and especially her two granddaughters, Madeline and Lydia. She enjoyed watching football, following politics, watching Brewers games in Spanish, free on Telemundo TV, and trips to Culvers.

Survivors include her son, Kevin (Jen) Schultz of Sturgeon Bay; two granddaughters, Madeline and Lydia; brother, Robert (Bonnie) Schultz of Hobart; and many dear cousins.

Preceding her in death was her parents, and son, Jeff.

At Kathy’s request there will be no public service.  She will be laid to rest next to her parents, and son, Jeff at Bayside Cemetery. 

“As you think of Kathy, remember her strong independence, her dedication to her family and working career, her smile and smirk when she was happy or when she may not have been pleased with certain circumstances.  She was one of a kind and appreciated by many.”
