Obituary: Louis Andrew Munao, Sr.

Louis Andrew Munao, Sr., 58, of Washington Island, died on Feb. 19, 2019.

A funeral service to honor Lou’s life will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 26, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church on Washington Island at 11 am. Pastor Alan Schaffmeyer of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church and Pastor Rick Smith of Bethel Evangelical Free Church will co-officiate the service. A private burial will take place in the Washington Island Cemetery.

Friends and family may gather at the church on Monday, Feb. 25, 3-6 pm; and again on Tuesday, from 10 am until the time of the service.

A special ferry to Northport is scheduled to leave Washington Island on Tuesday, Feb. 26, at 3:30 p.m. A van will transport individuals without vehicles from the ferry to the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Lou’s name to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bethel Evangelical Free Church, Washington Island Mosling Recreation Center or Smiles Therapeutic Riding.
