Obituary: Norma A. Kay

June 12, 1934 ~ Monday March 7, 2022

Norma A. Kay, 87, Forestville, died peacefully, Monday March 7, 2022 at Anna’s Healthcare in Sturgeon Bay.  She was born June 12, 1934 to the late Harry and Josephine (Tassoul) Petry in the Township of Red River.

Norma married Marlin O. Kay November 10, 1956 in Kolberg.  

Norma helped run the family farm and was a stay at home mom, raising her children. She was a member of Kolberg Emmanuel Lutheran Church.  

Norma enjoyed working in the kitchen at the Northeast Wisconsin Antique Power Associations annual Thresheree in Valmy for many years. In her free time, she could be found baking, quilting, doing word searches and beating everyone in marbles.

Norma is survived by her children Vicki Polcen (special friend Mel), Sturgeon Bay, Micheal Kay, Cadot, WI., Tom (Chris) Kay, Forestville, Linda (Mark) DeKeyser, Brussels and Paul (Judy) Kay, Forestville; 10 grandchildren Adam (Melissa) Polcen, Amanda Purdy, Katie DeKeyser, Megan DeKeyser, Jon Kay, Angela Kay (Fiance’ Jason), Matthew Kay, Jesse Kay, Mikayla Kay and Marley Kay; six sisters Shirley Devos, Beatrice (Jim) Scholes, Joanne (Milton) Rass, Agatha Jeanquart, Arlene (Jimmy) Schneider and Darlene Ciha; special friends Andrew Jeanquart and Joanne Tucker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Marlin March 14, 2018, son David and daughter Patsy, twin brother Norman and three sisters Mary Petry, Elizabeth Braun and Mabel Christenson.

There will be a public visitation, Monday, March 14, 2022 from 9:00 AM until the time of  services at 11:00 AM at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Kolberg with the Rev. Curt Grube officiating.  Entombment at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.

The family wants to give a special thank you to Unity Hospice and the nursing staff at Anna’s Healthcare in Sturgeon Bay.
