Obituary: Paul William Kiehnau

Aug. 25, 1939 – Jan. 20, 2024

Paul William Kiehnau, 84, of Egg Harbor passed away at his home in the company of his family on Jan. 20, 2024. He was born Aug. 25, 1939, in Sturgeon Bay to Allen and Evelyn (Peters) Kiehnau. On Sept. 11, 1965, he married Leann Carmody in Valmy; she preceded him in death on Oct. 21, 2019.

Paul attended and graduated from Sevastopol High School. Soon after high school, he drove a milk truck with cans while farming in the Town of Egg Harbor. For several years, he also tended bar on the side. He loved the Brewers, polka music and square dancing. He also loved his animals, especially his collies. He and his wife enjoyed bowling, square dancing and snowmobiling when they were younger. Paul especially enjoyed the time he spent with his family.

Survivors include his four children, Jeffrey (Monica) Kiehnau, Sturgeon Bay; Tonia Lewaren Green Bay; Gary Kiehnau and Greg Kiehnau, both of Egg Harbor; four grandchildren, Heather Kiehnau, Monica Crewe, Jack Lewaren and Jenna Lewaren; five great grandchildren, Kianna Kiehnau, Kinley Crewe, Marvin Davis, Lila Howard, and Skyla Prince; a sister Judith Cote and a brother Gerald Kiehnau; and sister-in-law Ellen Kiehnau. He was preceded by his parents, wife, brother Allen Kiehnau, sister-in-law Mary Kiehnau and brother-in-law Jerome Cote.

Funeral Services will be Friday, Jan. 26, 2024, at 6 pm at the Forbes Funeral Home, with the Rev. Gary Scharrig officiating. Friends may call at the Forbes Funeral Home from 3 to 6 pm on Friday.
