Obituary: Rev. Roald Christian Haugen

Rev. Roald Christian Haugen, 89, of Sturgeon Bay, died Feb. 1, 2018 at Door County Medical Center. He was born May 23, 1928 in Eau Claire to Alfred and Dena (Julson) Haugen. On June 20, 1952, he married Marilyn Siggens at the First Baptist Church of Eau Claire.

Survivors include his wife, two sons, Tim (Ann) Haugen, Glenwood Springs, CO; and James Haugen, Chicago, IL; six grandchildren, Karissa, Shelly, Stacey, Erik, Anika and Kirsten; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Gordon (Sharron) Haugen, Aurora, IL; a sister-in-law, Ginny Haugen, of Tennessee; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Alfred (Ruth) Haugen, and Arnie Haugen; two sisters, May Haugen and Jenny (Everett) Graves; brother-in-law, Ray (Peggy) Julson; parents-in-law, John and Charlotte Siggens.

A memorial service will be conducted at 1 pm, Feb. 17, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Sturgeon Bay with the Rev. Cory Dahl and Rev. Tim Haugen officiating.  Burial will be at Bayside Cemetery.  A visitation will follow the service at the church on Saturday.
