Obituary: Timothy J. Hagen

Timothy J. Hagen, 71, of Miltona, Minnesota, died on Feb. 26, 2016, at Ministry Door County Medical Center in Sturgeon Bay.  He was born Oct. 29, 1944 in Minneapolis, MN to Leslie and Helen (Nyberg) Hagen.

Tim owned and operated the Tip Top Cove Resort in Miltona, MN for many years. Operating the resort was his true passion in life.

Survivors include 4 children:  Lucy Hagen, Sturgeon Bay, WI; Ted Hagen, Milwaukee, WI;  Ian Hagen, Austin, MN; and Shawn Hagen, Monticello, MN; 2 granddaughters, Kathryn and Mary Hagen; step-children: Trisha Reynolds, Lance (Laurie) Furtney, and Tiffanny Shierts; nieces, Coni (Lonnie) Hoffman and Shari Hagen; adopted family: Bryan, Nicole, Robert, and Ashlie Frederick; Denise, Amy, and Jessie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his aunt Lillian Nyberg, and step-son Todd Furtney.

A celebration of his life will be held in the near future.  Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
