Open Door Pride Chair Meets With Governor

Open Door Pride’s chair and founder, Cathy Grier, was invited to attend a reception at the governor’s residence March 21 in honor of Women’s History Month. Governor Evers and First Lady Kathy Evers have been longtime advocates of the LGBTQIA+ community. Governor Evers was the first governor to fly the pride flag at the capitol building in the state of Wisconsin. Both the governor and First Lady Evers took time to write a message for Open Door Pride’s “What’s My Pride? Project.” The annual exhibition is hosted by The Miller Museum at their M3 Gallery on Third Avenue in Sturgeon Bay during June.
