About Wisconsin Humane Society Door County Campus
The Wisconsin Humane Society’s (WHS) mission is to make a difference for animals and the people who love them.
Founded in 1879, the Wisconsin Humane Society has been saving the lives of animals in need for more than 140 years. WHS is an independent, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and operates animal shelters in Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Door and Brown Counties.
WHS annually serves 40,000 animals. They receive no general government funding and we are not part of any national umbrella organization.
The Wisconsin Humane Society Door County Campus provides a safe haven for lost or homeless pets while working to reunite them with their owners or place them with a new loving family. We encourage the public to contact the shelter or visit their website to find out how you can get involved as a donor, adopter, volunteer, or foster family!
