“Paint it Forward” for HELP of Door County

Ratindra Das.

Blue Dolphin House and BDH Studio will be sponsoring “a true painting experience in interactive creative response” on June 27 from 2 – 4 pm in the Gardens of Blue Dolphin House. The result of this experience will be to “Paint it Forward” to benefit HELP of Door County.

The public is invited to this premier event to see five outstanding artists – Ratindra Das, Marlene Boonstra, Lenox Wallace, Judith Tomter and Susan Martin – in action. The guidelines for the event are quite simple, as each artist will bring an idea with them sketched out on paper, with the idea that any technique goes. However, the end result may differ greatly from the artist’s original vision because more than one artist’s hands will craft the final product.

Each of the artists will work on a piece for fifteen minutes and then pass it on to the next artist to work on for another fifteen minutes, fostering interactive creativity. Eventually, each artist will get his/her piece back for five minutes to finish it off.

At the end with truly unique and interactive pieces, all artists will sign the work and the five paintings will be auctioned to benefit HELP of Door County, whose mission is to eliminate domestic abuse through prevention and intervention services and to advocate for social change.

The public is invited to this premier event on June 27 with a rain date planned for June 28. Blue Dolphin House is located at 10320 N. Water St., Ephraim. For more information contact Blue Dolphin House and BDH Studio at 920.854.4113 or visit http://www.bluedolphinhouse.com.
