Paruch Named Master Pastelist

Door County artist and teacher Bonnie Paruch, a signature member of the Pastel Society of America, has been awarded the Master Pastelist distinction. The Pastel Society of America’s (PSA) 42nd Annual Exhibition, “Enduring Brilliance,” gala dinner and awards ceremony was held on Sept. 21 at the National Arts Club in New York City. That evening, Paruch accepted The Maryland Pastel Society Award for her pastel painting “Windfall and Copper.”

With this award, Paruch joins a select group of only 155 worldwide artists who have achieved the coveted Master Pastelist designation. PSA signature members who receive juried awards at three different annual exhibitions are designated Master Pastelists.
