Pen Park Celebrates St. Patrick’s Day

Visit Peninsula State Park’s Nature Center on March 16 at 11 am to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and hear the Legend of the Wild Swans. Visitors will listen to this Celtic folk tale, and then learn about Wisconsin swans.

A St. Paddy’s campfire follows from 12 – 1 pm, participants will cook traditional Irish Colcannon (Bubble & Squeak) using pudgy pie irons. Food and pie irons will be provided, but donations are appreciated. The campfire will be cancelled in case of rain.

Also, Peninsula State Park will continue the Like to Bike program, in its twelfth year at the park. Children can complete five activities (biking, hiking, kayaking, etc.) at Peninsula and be eligible to purchase a custom pin at cost ($3). Pins are available to non-participants for $6. All proceeds support outdoor education at Peninsula State Park. Peninsula will offer a Bike Rodeo for children in July.
