Peninsula Century Announces Bike Week Group Rides

The Door County Silent Sports Alliance and the Peninsula Century Ride are teaming up to host a group mountain bike ride at Peninsula State Park Sept. 10 at 5 pm.

Riders of all levels are welcome to join the locals and enjoy some of the best off-road trails around. To get to Lot 5, head east on Highland Road at the intersection of Hwy 42, Highland, and Cty A just north of the Skyway Drive In theater.

The Door County Silent Sports Alliance supports the pursuit of the human-powered recreation in Door County by organizing events, volunteering, maintaining trails, and community activism.

Thursday night riders can join the locals at Door County Brewing Co. for a 25-mile no-drop social ride on the quiet side at 5 pm. Finish at the tap room and enjoy beer specials, snacks, and grab more food from Chef Mitch’s Gypsy Taco stand.

The Peninsula Century Ride takes place Sept. 13, at Sister Bay’s Waterfront Park and features routes of 25, 50, 62, and 100 miles through the peninsula’s most breathtaking scenery. Learn more at http://www.peninsulacentury.com.
