Peninsula Experiences a Slew of Ones

The storied number eight “cliff hole” at Peninsula.

According to head golf professional, Jason Daubner, Peninsula records approximately ten hole-in-ones on the 75-yard number eight “cliff hole” each year. If this holds true for this year, the course recently recorded half of its annual quota in just a few short days. Between July 5 and July 9, five golfers dialed in the hole and aced number eight. Two of the five hail from Door County, while the other three all have local ties. They are listed below, along with where they are from and what weapon they used to score their one. Congratulations to all!

Eric Conlon from Brookfield (pitching wedge)

Doug Ferdon from Baileys Harbor (sand wedge)

Dawn Anderson from Ellison Bay (pitching wedge)

Dan Van Bellinger from Green Bay (pitching wedge)

Thomas Krause from Wauwatosa (9-iron)

Additionally and perhaps more impressively (without any slight to the five golfers with hole-in-ones on number eight), Rich Gnadt from Baileys Harbor recorded an ace on the 118-yard number 15 at Peninsula. His hole-in-one occurred on Friday, July 9 during the storm of aces at The Park.
