Peninsula Players Receives Schubert Foundation Grant

Peninsula Players Theatre has received a $20,000 award from the Shubert Foundation, which has given a record total of $32 million to 560 not-for-profit performing-arts organizations nationwide since its inception. This is the sixth year in a row that Peninsula Players has received Shubert Foundation support.

“It is a great honor for us to be recognized and rewarded by this highly respected organization,” managing director Brian Kelsey said. “This investment also reflects positively on the long-term health of Door County’s artistic community as a whole.”

The Shubert Foundation is the nation’s largest private foundation dedicated to unrestricted funding of nonprofit theaters, dance companies, professional-theater training programs and related service agencies.
