“Percussion at the Movies” Opens Birch Creek Season

This year marks Birch Creek Music Performance Center’s 48th year of orchestrating music education and concert performances, and it will present its opening-night concert, Percussion at the Movies, on June 22. On June 29, the matinee and evening concerts will be Artistry in Steel Pan with Liam Teague. The June 30 concert – Percussion: Fun and Funky – will feature internationally known Swedish vibes artist Anders Åstrand, who will also be the featured performer for the James R. A half hour of student prelude music in the Kane Gazebo precedes the concerts.
