Pioneers Down Wolves in Girls Basketball

Sevastopol’s girls basketball team remained undefeated on the season Tuesday with a 37-30 home victory in Packerland Conference play over Algoma.

The Pioneers, who led 15-12 at halftime, had three players end up scoring in double figures. Naomi Rikkola tallied a game-high 13 points. Kattie Spude added 11 points, with Kayla Ranly scoring 10 more.

The Wolves were led by Rylee Zimmerman with 11 points. Jayden Nellis added nine points.

Next up for Sevastopol, which improved to 3-0 in the Packerland and 6-0 overall, is a conference game Friday at Gibraltar.
