Pioneers Fall at Oconto in Girls Basketball

Sevastopol’s girls basketball team trailed by two points at halftime Thursday and ended up losing in Packerland Conference action at Oconto, 55-51.

Naomi Rikkola led the Pioneers with a game-high 31 points. Libby Ash added nine points.

Emilee Banker led the Blue Devils with 17 points, followed by Addisyn Viestenz with 14 points.

Sevastopol dropped to 7-2 in the Packerland Conference – two games behind undefeated league leader Kewaunee and tied for second with Oconto – and 12-3 overall. The Pioneers return to action Friday night with a conference game at home against Sturgeon Bay.
