Pond Hockey Tournament Registration Opens Aug. 1

Registration for the 3rd annual Door County Pond Hockey Tournament opens Aug. 1.

The fast-growing tournament returns to the ice of Kangaroo Lake in Baileys Harbor on Feb. 6, 2016. From Aug. 1 – 15, registration is open only to teams that participated in the first two years of the tournament. On Aug. 16, registration is open to all interested teams.

The 2016 tourney will feature women’s divisions for the first time.

“We’re really excited for this year’s event,” said tournament founder Brian Fitzgerald. “Players love coming to Door County to participate, and it’s great working with the Baileys Harbor Community Association and Door County Brewing Co. to put on a first-class winter weekend.”

This year’s tourney features the following six divisions: Men’s Open A (Pro, college, or junior level players), Men’s Open B (high school, organized, or recreational players), Classic (40 and over), Legends (50 and over), Women’s Open A, and Women’s Open B.
