Public Reading of I Never Sang for my Father at UUF

A public reading of I Never Sang for my Father, a moving family drama by Robert Anderson, is planned for Monday, October 12 at 7 pm at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Hall in Ephraim. Readers include Alan Kopischke, Arthur and Dee Hopper, David and Barbara Maier, Amy Ensign, and Mark Moede.

I Never Sang for My Father is devoted to the prickly relationship between aged Tom Garrison (played by Arthur Hopper) and his grown son Gene (played by Alan Kopischke). The 1970 movie of the same name won writing and acting Oscar nominations, and the 2004 Steppenwolf revival with John Mahoney won much acclaim.

Admission to the reading is free, with a talkback with refreshments to follow the performance.
